Student Academic Record or Transcript Requests

If an institution is currently in operation, students should request documents directly from the location where the student attends or attended. Institutions may put holds on academic records for reasons such as past-due tuition payments or defaulted loans. Please consult the institution for its policies that may affect the receipt of a transcript or other student records.
Students seeking academic records from closed institutions should review the list below to determine if the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) has obtained copies of student records and how students can request a copy of their individual transcript from DiplomaSender.
All transcript requests as of March 17, 2025, must be made through DiplomaSender (www.diplomasender.com).
Please note:
- At or after the time of closure, THECB received records as provided by the closed institutions listed below. The transcripts are provided by DiplomaSender on behalf of THECB as received from the closed institution or last known custodian of record. No alterations can be made to the transcripts.
- If no academic records are found for a student within the records maintained by DiplomaSender on behalf of THECB, a no records letter will be provided to the student.
- If a closed degree-granting institution is NOT listed below, students may contact DiplomaSender to determine if there is additional information regarding another entity holding the institution’s student academic records. Not all closed degree-granting institutions have provided updated information regarding student record locations. THECB continues to work with DiplomaSender to provide any additional information it receives regarding the location of any closed school transcripts in another entity’s possession.
- Any request to access student records or transcripts may require DiplomaSender staff to access and review confidential personal information. A student or former student gives consent and authorizes such use through the student’s request to DiplomaSender for academic record copies.
- Students must be able to provide DiplomaSender staff sufficient information to determine that the academic records requested are associated with the requesting student and the student has the right to access such information.
- Authorized third parties, such as employers, employment verification services, or educational institutions, may also make requests for student transcripts per DiplomaSender’s requirements and verification processes.
