That’s a wrap for Higher EDge 2024!

Our 2024 annual conference united passionate and dedicated students and leaders in higher education, business, policy, and philanthropy from all corners of Texas. Together, we delved into the vital role students play in shaping Texas’ future. This year, we focused on the student experience—because students are truly at the core of our mission. 

Higher EDge 2024 embracing the theme of “Today’s Student. Tomorrow’s Texas.” with an array of engaging programming. Designed to empower and inspire, this conference supported those dedicated to helping students flourish across Texas. With thought-provoking panels, a compelling keynote from Stephen Moret, President and CEO of Strada Education Foundation, and transformative breakout sessions, Higher EDge 2024 was a vibrant hub for forward-thinking professionals passionate about student success. 

Event Highlights:  

  • The State of Higher Education Panel: If you missed the session with Interim Commissioner Sarah Keyton, the recording is available on our YouTube channel. 
  • A Conversation with the New Commissioner of Higher Education: Get to know incoming Commissioner Dr. Wynn Rosser in this poignant and powerful Q&A with Interim Commissioner Sarah Keyton. 
  • The Road to a Talent-Strong America: In his keynote address, Dr. Stephen Moret applauded Texas for leading the way in higher education innovation on the national stage, noting that work such as community college finance and My Texas Future will serve as the model for higher education across the country. 
  • Student Panels: Students took the stage and shared their perspectives and first-hand experiences in higher education throughout breakout panels and as our final panel on Day One. 
  • Session Recordings: For those who want to revisit any of the ballroom sessions, all recordings will be available on YouTube. The required trainings for regents and trustees will be available soon. You will be able to access these recordings on our website.  

The connections and conversations at Higher EDge 2024 will have a lasting impact on the future of higher education in Texas.
