Intent
The purpose of the Texas Student Success Collaboration (TSSC) with the National Institute for Student Success (NISS) is to provide Texas public colleges and universities with coaching and support to increase student success metrics and remove barriers to success for students at Texas public colleges and universities. The NISS at Georgia State University has developed a diagnostic analysis and playbook to assist institutions with making systemic changes that will increase student success outcomes.
Eligibility
Entities in the following categories and located in Texas are eligible to apply:
(a) Public Junior Colleges or
(b) Public State Colleges; or
(c) Public Technical Institutes; or
(d) General Academic Institutions.
Eligible Applicants are defined in Texas Education Code § 61.003(2)(3)(7)&(16).

Accepting Applications
To apply for the Texas Student Success Collaboration with NISS, 2025-2026, click on the link below and follow the instructions outlined in the Request for Application/Application. All submittals must be complete (inclusive of required signatures, acknowledgments, required attachments, etc.) and received by the posted due date. Incomplete and late submittals will not be considered for award.
Application Information
This is a competitive grant program; a Request for Applications (RFA) will be posted soon.
An Eligible Applicant may submit a maximum of one (1) Application.
Applications submitted under this RFA must:
- Agree to partner with the NISS at Georgia State University to participate in the Diagnostic Analysis and the creation of an institutional Readiness Playbook for student success, and
- Propose campus readiness to buy-in and have active engagement from institutional leadership.
